Be a Volunteer!

 
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with The New Mexico Child Abuse and Neglect Citizen Review Board (CRB). CRB is a statewide organization, mandated by law, to review the cases of children in state custody. Hopefully after reading the W's of CRB page the information has answered any questions you may have concerning volunteering with our organization.  
 
Please print the following documents and send ALL pages to our office:

It's easy! Are you committed to the well-being of children and families in New Mexico? All you need to be is eighteen years or older, a resident of New Mexico, and not presently be employed by CYFD, its contractual agencies, or the Court.
 
The Requirements:
  • Able to volunteer one work day per month

  • Fairness and objectivity

  • Good communication skills

  • Ability to encourage active discussion among the review participants
    Participation in at least eight hours of training annually

  • Formal agreement to an oath of confidentiality

  • Ability to make impartial recommendations regarding a child
